Junko made her U.S. concert debut, playing Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No.1 with the Obihiro Reed Orchestra in Salt Lake City, Utah. She has performed as a soloist with the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra (Tokyou), as well as with the Rutgers Symphony Orchestra, the Wiener Residenz Orchester and many others. She is also one of the best-known students of Seymour Bernstein, the legendary piano teacher who was the subject of the 2015 award-winning documentary, “Seymour: An Introduction”, directed by Ethan Hawke.
